Strawberry ice cream

Time 7 minutes plus 5-8 hours freezing time


  • 500
    strawberries, washed and hulled
  • 140
    castor sugar
  • 30
    lemon juice
  • 250


1. Blend or liquidise strawberries, sugar and lemon juice. Stir in cream. Chill. 2. Churn in an ice cream machine, or freeze covered in a chilled container for about 90 minutes. Loosen edges with a fork and beat with an electric hand beater until slushy. 3. Freeze and repeat this at least twice every 90 minutes until frozen. 4. Serve with whole strawberries and strawberry coulis.
