Sticky chicken wings

Ingredients (9)

1 chicken — wings
sesame seeds — white, toasted
rice — jasmine, cooked
MARINADE:
8 spring onions — finely chopped
5 cloves garlic — cloves, crushed
2 fresh ginger — grated
75 ml lime juice
75 ml soy sauce — tamari
3 tsp honey

Method:

Preheat the grill.

Mix all the marinade ingredients together and toss with the chicken wings. Leave the wings to marinate for 30 minutes.

Place in a baking dish on the middle rack of the oven and grill until cooked and crisped up. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve with the rice.

Cook’s notes: To make curled spring onions for garnish, top and tail the spring onions, cut a deep cross into the base and leave in ice water until they curl.
