Spicy punch

  • 500
    strong Rooibos tea
  • 1
    orange, thinly pared rind
  • 1
    lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1
  • 1
    stick whole cinnamon
  • 500
    apple juice
  • honey
  • 1
    orange, thinly sliced


Heat the Rooibos tea, orange rind, lemon slices, clove and cinnamon in a large saucepan. Allow to draw for half an hour and cool completely. Pour through a fine sieve and add the apple juice. Sweeten to taste with honey. Pour into a punch bowl and float the orange slices in the punch. Serves 4.
