Ingredients (16)

3.00 onion — chopped
oil
6.00 cardamom — seeds
1.00 cinnamon — stick
15.00 ml coriander — ground
30.00 ml cumin — ground
15.00 ml curry powder — mild
2.00 ml turmeric
1.00 cloves — ground, pinch
5.00 ml cayenne pepper
2.00 ml nutmeg — ground
200.00 g savoury soya mince
1.00 tomatoes — peeled, chopped
750.00 ml water
15.00 ml paprika
250.00 ml yoghurt — plain

Method:

Sauté the onion in oil until soft. Add cardamom seeds and cinnamon and stir-fry for a minute. Add remaining seasonings, except the paprika and soya mince and stir-fry lightly. Add the tomato and mix. Add the water and paprika, reduce the heat and simmer until the soya mince is soft.
Stir in the yoghurt, season to taste with salt and simmer until heated through.
Serve with rice.
Serves 6.
