Ingredients (7)

4.00 bread — white, slices
20.00 ml butter — softened
150.00 g mature cheddar cheese — grated
1.00 eggs — jumbo
5.00 ml mustard — powder
30.00 ml milk
4.00 fresh basil — or watercress

Method:

Toast bread on one side only. Butter untoasted sides.
Mix cheese, egg, mustard and milk together. Spread mixture over untoasted sides of bread, leaving a narrow border to allow mixture to spread as it melts.
Grill until cheese fluffs up and turns golden brown.
Garnish with basil.
