Slow cooked beef rib rolls

The best part of slow cooking is being able to throw all your ingredients in, walk away and come back 6-8 hours later.

Ingredients (7)

500 g beef — rib
30 ml soy sauce — dark
500 ml orange juice — fresh
Beef rib rolls:
bread — rolls
salad greens
gherkins
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Method:

Place all the ingredients in a slow cooker*.
Cook on high for 6- 8 hours.

* If you do not have a slow cooker, you can bake it in a very low oven (110ºC).

Beef rib rolls
Allow the meat to cool enough to handle.
Remove the meat, bones and sinew.
Add a little of the cooking sauce, if it looks too dry.
Cut fresh bread rolls in half and spread a little of the cooking sauce on the bread.
Place a bed of lettuce on the roll – I like rocket and watercress.
Place the meat on the lettuce bed, top with gherkins and season.
Serve and enjoy.
