Ingredients (9)

30.00 ml fresh chillies — 573
1.00 lemon juice
30.00 ml sweet chilli sauce
5.00 ml paprika
15.00 ml tomato paste
1.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
12.00 chicken — wings
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method:

Soak 12 wooden skewers in water for about 20 minutes to prevent them from burning during the cooking process.
Blend the oil, lemon juice, chilli sauce, paprika, tomato paste and garlic to form a thick paste.
Cut off the tips of the chicken wings and thread wings onto skewers. Repeat until all the wings have been used.
Grill wings in the oven or over hot coals for about 20 minutes until done. Turn frequently and brush generously with the sauce for a juicy end result. (Brush the wings during the last half of the cooking time to prevent the marinade from burning.)
Season with salt and black pepper and garnish with fresh thyme.
