Ingredients (15)

250.00 g noodles — shell, uncooked
50.00 g butter
4.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
410.00 g tomatoes — whole, finely chopped
170.00 g evaporated milk
25.00 ml chilli sauce
300.00 g prawns — frozen
250.00 g shrimps — frozen
400.00 g calamari — frozen
500.00 g fish — white flesh, cooked, cubed
225.00 g mussels
2.00 lemon — zest and juice
nutmeg — ground
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
fresh parsley — chopped

Method:

Cook the shell noodles in rapidly boiling salted water until soft. Drain well and set aside. Melt the butter in a skottel braai, wok or in a large frying pan and sauté the garlic until soft. Add the tomatoes, evaporated milk and chilli sauce and simmer until a thick sauce forms. Pour boiling water over the prawns, shrimps and calamari. Leave for about a minute until completely defrosted. Drain well. Add the prawns, shrimps, calamari, white fish, mussels and noodles to the sauce. Heat through, stirring continuously, but do not overheat or the seafood will be tough. Season with the lemon juice and rind, a pinch of nutmeg, and salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
