Ingredients (16)

375.00 ml carrots — grated
140.00 g flour — cake
125.00 ml maize meal
125.00 ml rice flour
65.00 ml chickpea flour
2.00 ml salt
1.00 ml turmeric
10.00 ml coriander — ground
1.00 ml cumin — ground
5.00 ml red chilli — ground
2.00 ml fresh ginger — grated
2.00 ml garlic — cloves, crushed
1.00 onion — medium, finely chopped
5.00 ml fennel — seeds
5.00 ml sesame seeds
0.00 sunflower oil — for frying

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together.
Add enough water, a little at a time, to make a soft batter.
It should not be too runny.
In a shallow pan, heat enough oil over a medium heat to coat the pancakes.
Spoon some of the batter into the pan to form 4 mm thick circles and cook for about one minute on each side.
