Ingredients (13)

500.00 ml lentils — green or brown
water
2.00 stock cubes — beef
sunflower oil — or butter, for frying
1.00 onion — large, chopped
2.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
4.00 sausages — spicy, sliced
15.00 ml wholegrain mustard
5.00 ml mustard — powder
45.00 ml wine — white
5.00 ml sugar
1.00 fresh rosemary — sprig
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method:

Place lentils in water with crumbled stock cubes and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat butter and oil. Sauté onion and garlic until glossy. Add sausages and sauté for 1 minute. Add mustards and remaining ingredients and toss to coat.
When lentils are just cooked, spoon lentil mixture, with juice, into pan. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, or until heated through.
Serve with crusty bread and vegetables.
