Ingredients (8)

105.00 g sardines — mashed
5.00 ml lemon juice
15.00 ml onion — grated
15.00 ml carrots — grated
15.00 ml fresh parsley — chopped
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
15.00 ml chutney
8.00 bread — white sliced, buttered

Method:

Blend all the ingredients except the buttered bread. Spread four of the slices with the mixture and cover with the remaining four slices.
Toast the sandwiches OR dip them in beaten egg and fry in shallow oil until brown.
Quarter the sandwiches and serve with a glass of milk.
