1.00 bottel wine — red
110.00 g sugar
1.00 cinnamon — stick
2.00 star anise
1.00 suurlemoen skil van
1.00 lemoen skil van
25.00 ml cornflour

Method:

Skil die pere ? hou die stingels aan ?
en plaas in water met ‘n bietjie sout.
Meng die mielieblom met ‘n bietjie
rooiwyn om ‘n dun pasta te vorm.
Bring die res van die rooiwyn, suiker,
kaneel, ster-anys en skil in ‘n groot
kastrol tot kookpunt. Roer tot al die
suiker opgelos is.

Plaas die pere heel
in die rooiwyn, bedek en laat kook vir
ongeveer 25 minute tot sag (draai die
pere nou en dan om). Verwyder die
pere uit die stroop en gooi die sous
deur ‘n sif. Gooi die sous terug in die
kastrol. Voeg die mielieblom-mengsel
by en kook stadig tot verdik. Gooi sous
oor die pere en laat koud word.
