Roast mushroom and sage tarts

    ready made rolled puff pastry

    Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1
  • 4
    fresh brown mushrooms, stems trimmed and fried
  • 4
    sage leaves
  • 1
    cgg, lightly beaten
  • coarsely ground salt
  • freshly ground black pepper


Preheat oven to 200ºC. Cut pastry into 4 equal squares, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cut tomato into 4 slices and fry. Top each pastry square with a slice of tomato, a brown mushroom and sage leaf. Brush pastry with egg and season. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serves 4.
