Roast chicken portions with sesame seeds

    soy sauce

    cloves garlic, crushed

    chicken portions (thighs are suitable)
  • 80
    sesame seeds
  • 45
    soft breadcrumbs


Preheat the oven to 200 ºC (400 ºF). Grease an ovenproof dish with butter or margarine. Mix the mayonnaise, soy sauce and garlic. Spread over the chicken portions and arrange them in the dish with the skin side upwards. Combine the sesame seeds and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle over the chicken portions so that they are well covered. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Bake for 15 minutes then lower the heat to 160º C (325 ºF) and bake for another 30 minutes. Turn the portions over. Switch on the grill and cook the chicken for another 20 minutes until it is tender, cooked and golden brown. Serve with rice and a salad. Serves 6-8.
