Quick lasagne

    uncooked pasta
  • oil for frying

    chilli con carne
  • 1
    chopped tomatoes
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

    cake flour

    Cheddar cheese - grated

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Spray a 20 x 20 cm ovenproof dish with non-stick spray.

Cook the pasta in rapidly boiling salted water until tender but still firm. Drain.

Fry the mince in a little oil until browned. Add the chopped tomatoes and the can of chilli con carne.

Prepare the white sauce by melting the butter in a sauce pan. Stir in the cake flour. Add small quantities of milk while stirring continuously and bring to the boil.

Add 1/2 cup of cheese. Season with salt and black pepper.

Spoon a layer of pasta in the bottom of the dish, followed by a layer of meat and finally a layer of white sauce. Repeat the layers and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

Bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until heated through and brown on top. Serve with a fresh salad.
