Quick and easy tuna pie

Ingredients (8)

4 bread — sliced, crusts removed
30 ml butter
250 ml milk
1 can tuna — tinned in brine, drained
300ml cheddar cheese — grated
2 eggs — large
1 onion — large, grated
5 ml Baking powder

Method:

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Break up the slices of bread into small pieces. Reserve a quarter of the cheese and then mix together the remaining ingredients in a saucepan, except the baking powder.

Cook the mixture over a low heat for a couple of minutes, stirring constantly.

Stir in the baking powder and then pour into a greased baking dish or into individual dishes. Sprinkle the reserved cheese over and bake in a preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with potato wedges and salad.
