Ingredients (5)

60.00 ml butter
200.00 g brown sugar — soft
125.00 ml cream
SYRUP
100.00 g pecan nuts — chopped
5.00 ml vanilla — essence

Method:

Melt the butter over low heat. Add the brown sugar, syrup and cream, heating slowly until the sugar has dissolved. Stir continuously. Simmer until the sauce thickens. Stir in the pecan nuts and vanilla essence.
Serve lukewarm with coffee or vanilla ice cream.
Makes about 600 ml (2 2/5 c).
