Potato pan-fry

    frankfurters, sliced
  • oil
  • 6
    potatoes, peeled, boiled and sliced
  • 100
    Cheddar cheese, diced

Fry the frankfurters in a little oil till done. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towelling. Fry the potato slices in the same pan till slightly crisp and drain on paper towelling. Arrange layers of potato and sausage in a dish or directly on each person's plate, sprinkle with the diced cheese and heat till the cheese just begins to melt and the dish is heated through. (It takes about 1 minute in the microwave oven on 100 per cent power.) Serve with a salad. Serves 4-6.
