Pear and cheese salad

  • 4
  • lemon water
  • mixed salad leaves
  • hazelnuts
  • butter
  • honey
  • chives


Peel and slice about 4 pears into thin wedges and place in lemon water to prevent discoloration. Wash and dry 1 packet of mixed salad leaves. Roast a packet of hazelnuts, rub off the skins and chop coarsely. Slice cheese and arrange on plates with salad ingredients. Meanwhile, heat a knob of butter and sauté the pear wedges for a few minutes until soft. Add a little honey or brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Transfer the pears onto plates and drizzle with the honey mixture. Sprinkle with nuts and garnish with chives. Whisk together a little honey arid lemon juice to taste and sprinkle over the salad. Serves 4-6.
