Pa amb tomàquet (bread with tomato)

  • 4
    large, thick slices bread
  • 4
    juicy ripe tomatoes, halved
  • salt
  • 45
    olive oil


Toast bread on both sides. Rub tomato juice and pulp on to bread. Discard tomato skins. Sprinkle with salt to taste and drizzle generously with 30 to 45 ml olive oil.
Serve with escalivada.
