Ingredients (10)

2.00 onions — large, sliced into rings
oil
500.00 g beef mince
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
3.00 potatoes — peeled and cubed
500.00 g spinach — shredded
50.00 ml margarine — or butter
50.00 ml flour — cake
400.00 ml milk
250.00 ml cheddar cheese — grated

Method:

Sauté the onion in a little oil until soft. Add the mince and fry until done but not brown. Season. Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft, drain and add to the mince. Steam the spinach for a few minutes until soft. Mix with the mince mixture and tum into a dish.
Make a cheese sauce using the margarine, cake flour, milk and grated Cheddar cheese. Spoon over the mince mixture and place in a heated oven for a few minutes until the dish is heated through.
Serve with rice and a salad.
Serves 4.
