800.00 g sweet potatoes — peeled and sliced
0.00 salt — to taste
3.00 orange — juice only
200.00 ml golden syrup
15.00 ml cornflour
10.00 ml water
30.00 ml butter

Method:

Place the sweet potatoes in a saucepan, cover with water, add salt and boil until done but still firm.
Drain and spoon into the prepared ovenproof dish.
Combine the orange juice and syrup and boil for three minutes.
Remove from the heat.
Mix the cornflour with the water and add it, together with the butter, to the hot syrup mixture.
Pour the mixture over the sweet potatoes and bake until golden brown.
