Ingredients (4)

440.00 g castor sugar
250.00 ml water
500.00 ml orange juice
500.00 ml water

Method:

Place the sugar and water in a saucepan and stir over low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
Increase the heat and boil the syrup for one minute.
Set aside to cool.
Combine the orange juice, extra water and sugar syrup in a bowl and stir.
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions, or freeze for 2 1/2 hours until the edges are set, beat and freeze until firm.

Other sorbets
Use 250 ml lemon juice instead of orange juice.
Use 625 ml watermelon juice or pur&eacuteed spanspek or other melon instead of orange juice.
