Onion bread and pâté

    onions, sliced thinly into rings

    French loaf

    good-quality bought pâté of your choice
  • 6
    large gherkins to serve
 

Method

 
Heat oil in a frying pan, add onions and cook until golden and crisp. Top bread with onions and pack in foil, allowing the juices to soak into the bread. Serve bread with pâté and gherkins. Serves 4-6.
