Ingredients (6)

250.00 ml white rice — uncooked
375.00 ml milk
250.00 ml evaporated milk
170.00 ml sugar
190.00 ml cream
nutmeg — grated, to taste

Method:

Place rice in a large saucepan with milk and evaporated milk. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring from time to time, until milk is almost all absorbed.
Stir in sugar, cream and nutmeg and simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Pour mixture into a serving dish or individual ramekins, sprinkle with more nutmeg and place under a hot grill for a minute or two.
Serve hot.
