Mushroom fish bake

  • 750
    frozen hake loins
  • 1
    lemon (juice only)
  • seasoned flour
  • butter
  • 1
    packet instant mushroom sauce
  • 250
    sour cream
  • 50
  • 125
    fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1
    bunch spring onions, chopped
  • 30
    chopped fresh parsley


1. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC. 2. Remove the skin from the loins and pour over the lemon juice. 3. Toss the fish in the seasoned flour and fry in the butter on all sides to seal. Do not cook the fish at this stage. 4. Place the fish in an ovenproof dish. 5. Make up the sauce according to the packet instructions and stir in the sour cream and mayonnaise. 6. Pour the sauce over the fish and sprinkle the breadcrumbs, spring onion and parsley over the top. 7. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until cooked.
