Mouth-watering lemonade syrup

  • 750
    fresh lemon juice
  • 375
    castor sugar


Strain the lemon juice into a pot.
Add the castor sugar and heat until all the sugar has melted, but do not let it boil.
Pour into sterilised screw-top bottles and seal.
This syrup can be used like a cordial with soda or as a base for lemonade.
Just add four cups of water and four cups of ice cubes for a refreshing summer drink.
