Ingredients (12)

2.00 kg beef — bolo or topside
salt
freshly ground black pepper
oil
15.00 ml coriander — ground
SAUCE
180.00 ml tomato sauce
180.00 ml jam — apricot
100.00 ml chutney — hot
50.00 ml mustard — sweet and sour
15.00 ml cornflour
5.00 ml curry powder
5.00 ml cumin — ground

Method:

Preheat the oven to 160 ºC (325 ºF).
Lightly season the steaks with salt and black pepper.
Heat a little oil in a pan and brown the steaks on both sides.
Place them in an ovenproof dish, sprinkling coriander between the layers.
Blend the remaining ingredients and pour over.
Cover and bake for 40 to 60 minutes or until the meat is tender.
Serve with brown rice or pearl wheat and vegetables.
