Ingredients (9)

0.00 head cabbage — shredded
5.00 carrots — strips
1.00 onion — sliced
2.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
oil
2.00 tomatoes — large, peeled and diced
125.00 ml tomato sauce
2.00 ml cayenne pepper
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Method:

Boil the cabbage and carrots in a little water until just soft but still crisp.
Sauté the onion and garlic in a little oil until soft. Add the tomatoes and simmer until a purée forms. Add the tomato sauce, cayenne pepper and vegetables. Heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serves 4.
