Ingredients (8)

100.00 g pecan nuts — cashew nuts or hazelnuts
45.00 ml sunflower oil
45.00 ml sesame seeds
16.00 savoury crackers
3.00 eggs — white
250.00 ml sugar
2.00 ml Baking powder
5.00 ml vanilla — essence

Method:

Lightly toast nuts and seeds in a pan on top of stove, then place in a food processor bowl with crackers.
Chop coarsely. Beat egg whites until foamy and gradually beat in sugar. Fold in baking powder and vanilla essence, then fold in nut and seed mixture.
Pour mixture into a 20 cm diameter tart pan and bake at 190 ºC for 20 to 40 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in centre comes out clean.
Serve tart warm with whipped cream.
