Mixed seafood with salsa

    fresh fish fillets

    whole prawns, cleaned and peeled with tails left on
  • 400
    fresh mussels, cleaned
  • 2
    fresh green chillies, chopped (or more to taste)

    lemon juice

    freshly chopped coriander
  • 6
    fresh tomatoes, chopped
  • 1
    red onion, chopped
  • 4
    cloves garlic, chopped
  • lemon wedges and fresh coriander sprigs to garnish


Place fish, cut into 3 cm cubes, in a saucepan. Cover with water and bring to the boil. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until fish is cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside to cool. Add prawns to the water and simmer or 2 to 3 minutes until prawns turn opaque. Remove from the pan and set aside to cool. Add a little more water to the pan and bring to the boil. Add mussels and boil until the shells open. Remove from the pot, drain and cool. Arrange all the cooled seafood on a platter. SALSA: Mix together remaining ingredients, except lemon and coriander. Season well with salt. Spoon over the seafood and garnish with lemon wedges and fresh coriander sprigs. Chill until ready to serve.
