Ingredients (10)

250.00 g button mushrooms — halved
oil
30.00 ml gravy powder
100.00 ml stock — beef
quantity basic mince mixture (see tips)
100.00 ml beer
10.00 ml Worcestershire sauce
30.00 ml fresh parsley — finely chopped
10.00 ml fresh thyme — finely chopped
200.00 g puff pastry — defrosted
1.00 eggs — lightly whisked

Method:

Preheat the oven to 200 ºC (400 ºF). Spray a pie dish with non-stick spray.
Sauté; the mushrooms in a little oil until brown. Blend the gravy powder with a little stock and add to the mushrooms with the remaining ingredients except the pastry and egg. Simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes until cooked through. Turn into the prepared pie dish.
Brush the edges of the pie dish with water. Roll out the pastry until slightly thinner and cover the mince mixture. Trim the edges and brush the pastry with egg.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the pastry is baked through and puffed out.
