Ingredients (9)

500.00 g beef mince
10.00 ml oil
1.00 onion — large, grated
4.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
5.00 ml turmeric
20.00 ml curry powder — mild
50.00 ml chutney — fruit
5.00 ml salt
100.00 ml stock — meat

Method:

Fry mince in heated cooking oil in a heavy-based saucepan until it turns colour.
Add onion and garlic and sauté until onion is translucent. Add turmeric, curry and chilli powder and fry for 2 minutes.
Heat remaining ingredients, add and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Allow to cool.
Serve with Beer vetkoek (see recipe).
