Mexican vienna sausages

    onion, finely chopped
  • 1
    green pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1
    clove garlic, crushed
  • oil
  • 15
    golden syrup
  • 2
    cayenne pepper
  • 500
    vienna sausages, cut into pieces
  • 250
    frozen peas (or 1 x 410 g can, drained)


Sauté the onion, green pepper and garlic in a little oil until tender. Add the golden syrup, cayenne pepper and sausages and stir-fry for a minute. Add the peas and heat through. Serve with samp, rice or putu pap. Serves 4.
