Ingredients (14)

MEATBALLS
1.00 onion — finely chopped
1.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
10.00 ml oil
450.00 g beef mince
1.00 bread — white sliced, crusts removed, soaked in milk
5.00 ml mustard — powder
2.00 green chillies — finely chopped
1.00 eggs
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
SAUCE
425.00 g tomatoes — finely chopped
50.00 ml fresh parsley — chopped
5.00 ml cayenne pepper
15.00 ml sugar
1.00 ml cumin — ground

Method:

Place onion, garlic and oil in a microwave dish. Cover partially with cling film and microwave for 2 minutes on 100 percent power. Combine mince with onion mixture. Add bread, mustard powder, chopped chillies and egg and season with salt and pepper. Blend well and shape into 8 – 10 meatballs. Arrange meatballs on glass turntable of the microwave oven and microwave for 5 minutes on 100 percent power. Turn meatballs and rearrange on glass turntable. Microwave for 5 minutes on 100 percent power. Blend ingredients for sauce in a glass bowl and microwave for 3 – 5 minutes on 100 percent power. Pour sauce over meatballs or serve separately with meatballs. Serves 4.
