Meatballs in sour cream sauce

Ingredients (13)

MEATBALLS
750.00 g beef mince
2.00 bread — white sliced, soaked in water
7.00 ml salt
2.00 ml freshly ground black pepper
2.00 ml fresh basil
1.00 potato — grated
1.00 onion — finely chopped
1.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
SOUR CREAM SAUCE
1.00 onion — finely chopped
oil
100.00 ml wine — dry white
250.00 ml sour cream
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method:

Preheat the oven to 160 ºC (325ºF). Spray an oven pan with non-stick spray. Lightly mix all the ingredients for the meatballs in a mixing bowl. Shape into small balls and arrange in the prepared oven pan. Cover with aluminium foil and bake for 30 minutes or until done. Remove the covering before the end of the cooking time so the meatballs can brown.
Sauté the onion in a little oil until soft. Add white wine and simmer rapidly for 5 minutes. Reduce heat and add the sour cream. Simmer slowly until the sauce has thickened slightly. Season and serve with the meatballs.
