Ingredients (8)

350.00 g pasta — fusilli
400.00 g beef mince — lean
1.00 onion — finely chopped
40.00 ml fresh parsley — chopped
1.00 eggs — large, beaten
15.00 ml oil
820.00 g tinned tomatoes — Italian-style, chopped
150.00 g cheddar cheese — or mozzarella cheese, grated

Method:

Cook pasta according to the packet instructions.
Meanwhile prepare the meatballs.
Place the meat in a bowl, add the onion and parsley and mix well.
Stir in the egg and season with salt and pepper.
Shape into balls.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan and cook meatballs in batches, turning until browned.
Drain on paper towelling.
Drain pastta and tip into a large ovenproof dish, or smaller individual dishes.
Add meatballs, then pour over the tomatoes.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 180 °C for about 30 minutes or until golden and bubbling.
Note: Smaller dishes will need less time to bake.
