Mealies with sour cream

  • 4
    whole mealies, leaves stripped
  • 150
    sour cream
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 10
    horseradish sauce
  • 15
    chives, finely chopped


Boil the mealies in a little salted water until tender. Cut into 5 cm pieces or cut the kernels from the cob. Spoon into a serving dish and keep warm. Blend the sour cream, salt and pepper with the horseradish sauce and chives and pour over the mealies just before serving.
