Marmite and cheese wheels

Ingredients (4)

400.00 g puff pastry — defrosted
63.00 g marmite
100.00 g cheddar cheese — grated
cayenne pepper

Method:

Preheat the oven to 220 ºC. Grease two baking sheets.

Roll out the pastry to about 5-7 mm thick. Heat the Marmite slightly in the microwave and spread over the pastry.

Sprinkle with the Cheddar cheese and season with just a hint of cayenne pepper. Roll the pastry up lengthwise, wrap in plastic wrap and place in the freezer for about 30 minutes until the roll is stiff enough to be cut.

Using a sharp knife, cut the pastry roll into wheels about 1 cm thick.

Arrange the wheels on the prepared baking sheets and bake for about 15 minutes until they are golden brown and the cheese has melted. Serve hot!
