Marinated rib-eye steaks

  • 6
    thick rib-eye steaks
  • salt and pepper
  • Marinade
  • 60
    chopped fresh mint
  • 250
    plain low-fat yoghurt
  • 50
    cooking oil
  • 2
    cloves garlic
  • 15
    lemon juice


Mix marinade ingredients and marinate meat for 4 hours or overnight.
Remove meat from marinade and pat dry with absorbent paper. Place on the rack of an oven roasting pan and grill under a preheated element for about 5 to 7 minutes per side (rare) or 7 to 10 minutes per side (medium done).
Baste meat with remaining marinade during last 3 minutes of cooking time. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
