Macaroni with Vienna sausages

Ingredients (10)

250.00 g pasta — macaroni
250.00 g bacon — chopped
1.00 onion — finely chopped
5.00 ml curry powder
2.00 ml paprika
280.00 g sausages — viennna, sliced
410.00 g tomato purée
170.00 g evaporated milk
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
125.00 ml cheddar cheese — grated

Method:

Switch on the oven grill. Spray an ovenproof dish non-stick spray.
Cook the macaroni in sufficient boiling, salted water until tender. Drain well and turn into the prepared oven dish.
Fry the bacon in a pan until crisp. Set aside. Sauté the onion in the same pan until tender and add the curry powder, paprika and sausages. Reduce the heat and stir-fry for one minute. Add the tomato puree and evaporated milk and simmer until the sauce has thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste and spoon over macaroni. Sprinkle with the cheese and grill until the cheese has melted.
Serve with a salad.
Serves 4 – 5.
