700.00 g butter — or margerine
875.00 ml Buttermilk
625.00 ml sugar
4.00 eggs — extra-large
500.00 g muesli
500.00 g cereal — breakfast flakes with honey
2.00 kg flour — self-raising
50.00 ml Baking powder
7.00 ml salt

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC and grease an oven pan and a 20 cm square cake tin with margarine. Melt the butter or margarine. Beat the buttermilk, sugar and eggs together until well blended. Mix the remaining ingredients in a large dish, and stir in the melted butter and buttermilk mixture using a wooden spoon. Turn the batter into the prepared pan and tin, spreading evenly, and bake for about 1 hour or until golden brown on top and done. Allow to cool slightly before turning out onto wire racks to cool further until lukewarm. Cut into fingers and dry at 100 ºC. Store in airtight containers.
