Little strawberry phyllo cups

  • 3 sheets of phyllo pastry
  • 60 ml butter, melted
  • 45 ml cinnamon sugar
  • 24 ripe, fresh strawberries
  • 125 ml toasted almonds, chopped
  • 250 ml cream, whipped
  • icing sugar for dusting


Preheat oven to 180 °C.
Cut phyllo pastry into 12 squares (each about 10 cm in diameter).
Brush with melted butter.
Place first square into a muffin tray and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Place a second square of phyllo on top at a different angle and sprinkle with more sugar.
Make 6 cups. Bake until golden brown.
Remove from pan and cool.
When ready to serve, place a dollop of whipped cream into each cup, add some cut strawberries and sprinkle with nuts. Dust with icing sugar.
