Mixed homemade nut butter

The nut butter will keep in the fridge for up to two months. You can use other types of nuts but keep peanuts as the base of the mixture. Serve with ice cream, add to smoothies or enjoy on toast or crackers with jam.

Ingredients (8)

500 g peanuts
100 g almonds
100 g cashew nuts
100 g pecan nuts
15 ml coconut oil
30 ml chia seeds
30 ml sesame seeds
5 ml sea salt

Method:

1 Combine all the nuts in  a food processor and blend for 10-15 minutes, stopping to scrape the sides down with a spatula as necessary. Add the coconut oil and blend  for another 10 minutes.

2 Once the nut mixture  is smooth, add the chia and sesame seeds, season with the salt  and blend for another minute. Spoon the nut butter into jars and store in the fridge.
