Microwave chocolate crunch bars

These bars have saved me from many a late night end-of-the-month chocolate craving.

Ingredients (8)

180 g butter — at room temperature
250 ml cornflakes
250 ml desiccated coconut
200 ml castor sugar
250 ml flour — self-raising
30 ml cocoa powder
TOPPING
200 g dark chocolate — chopped

Method:

1. Bars: Put the butter in a 20cm x
20cm square mi­crowave dish. Heat in the microwave on full power until melted.

2. Add the cornflakes, co­conut,
castor sugar, flour and cocoa powder and mix until combined.

3. Press the mixture firmly into the
base of the dish. Heat in the microwave on full power for 5 minutes. 

4. Topping: Remove the dish from the
microwave and while still warm sprinkle the chopped chocolate over. As soon as
the chocolate has melted, spread it evenly. Cut into bars and serve.
