Mature cheddar and marmite tart with blistered tomatoes


Marmite tart

    ml
    butter, melted
  • 2,5
    ml
    Marmite spread
  • 2
    sheets of phyllo pastry
  • 50
    g
    mature cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1
    sprig fresh rosemary
  • 4
    sprigs fresh thyme
  • 100
    g
    cherry tomatoes
  • micro herbs or fresh parsley
  • extra cheese shavings
 

Method

5-10 MIN
 

Preheat the oven to 190°C.

Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

1 PASTRY BASE

Mix the butter and Marmite well.

Place a sheet of pastry on the prepared baking sheet.

Lightly brush the pastry with the butter mixture.

Place another piece of pastry on top.

Brush once again with the butter mixture.

2 TOPPING

Spread the cheddar over the pastry, leaving a 5cm border clear.

Arrange the herbs and tomatoes on top of the cheese.

3 Brush the border with any leftover butter mixture.

Bake the tart in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the pastry is crisp.

4 TO FINISH

Slice the tart into individual potions and garnish with the micro herbs or parsley and extra cheese shavings.
