Guacamole


Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 4
    medium avocados, mashed roughly
  • 3
    green chillies, deseeded and chopped
  • 1
    tomato, finely chopped
  • ½
    onion, grated
  • 5
    ml
    crushed garlic
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 60
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 2
    spring onions, finely sliced
 

Method

 

In a medium-sized bowl, combine all ingredients together.

Cover and refrigerate until needed.

Serve with corn chips or savoury biscuits.

To ripen avocados quickly, place them in a brown paper bag with an apple or banana.

Fold the top of the bag to close and store at room temperature for up to three days.
