Emergency dark chocolate mousse

Ingredients

  • 180
    ml
    water
  • 230
    g
    dark chocolate (70% cocoa), finely chopped
 

Method

 

1 Put the water and dark chocolate in a saucepan and heat gently, stirring until melted.

2 Pour the mixture into a glass or metal bowl that fits over another bowl.

3 Fill the bottom bowl with ice cubes then put the bowl containing the chocolate on top.

4 Using an electric hand mixer or whisk, beat the mixture until it thickens and soft peaks form.

5 Immediately pour the mousse into a serving bowl or individual glasses and put in the fridge until set.

6 Serve topped with fresh berries or fruit if desired.
