Delicious tiramisu

Ingredients

  • 500
    ml
    thick cream
  • 250
    g
    mascarpone
  • 10
    ml
    coffee extract
  • 50
    g
    castor sugar
  • 45
    ml
    coffee granules dissolved in 500ml (2 cups) boiling water
  • 2
    pkts Boudoir biscuits
  • 80
    g
    dark chocolate
  • 10
    ml
    cocoa powder
 

Method

 

Put thick cream, mascarpone, coffee extract and castor sugar in a large bowl.

Whisk until the cream and mascarpone are completely combined and have the consistency of thickly whipped cream.

Pour coffee into a shallow dish and dip in a few sponge fingers at a time, turning for a few seconds until nicely soaked but not soggy.

Layer the biscuits in shallow dish until you have used half the biscuits, spread over half of the creamy mixture over the biscuit layer.

Using the coarse side of the grater, grate over half of the dark chocolate.

Repeat the layers, finishing with the creamy layer.

Cover the dessert and chill for a few hours or overnight.

To serve, dust with cocoa powder and grate over the remainder of the dark chocolate.
