Boerewors bake

    g
    boerewors
  • 2
    red onions, quartered
  • 1
    garlic bulb
  • 15
    ml
    olive oil
  • 1
    can
    chopped tomatoes
  • 1
    can
    red kidney beans, drained
  • salt and pepper
 

Method

Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil and grease with nonstick spray.  Soak 4 kebab skewers in hot water for 5 minutes.

1. Cut the boerewors into 4 equal lengths, roll each into a spiral and secure with a  kebab skewer.

2. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet with the onions and garlic bulb. Drizzle the oil over and bake for 15 minutes. Alternatively, braai over the coals.

3. Mix the tomatoes and beans, season with salt and pepper, and spoon over the boerewors. Bake for another 10 minutes. Arrange the spring onions on top and serve with pap* or another starch of your choice.
